A wilder future

Our village is a beautiful place, but we can do so much more to protect our local environment. We want to help create a wilder, greener and more natural Datchet that's buzzing with pollinators, teeming with wildflowers and alive with birdsong.

Support
In June 2019, Wild About Datchet was granted funding from local charity the Barker Bridge House Trust. Their support has enabled us to deliver surveys, events, practical conservation volunteering, and education.

In August, WAD was granted funding from the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead towards the building of insect houses. By boosting invertebrate life, this project will improve local plant health for removal of atmospheric carbon dioxide and airborne pollutants.
